Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee and manage our portfolio of 6 social media accounts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging content strategies, fostering community growth, and driving meaningful engagement across all platforms while maintaining brand consistency and voice.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
- Create, curate, and schedule daily content across 6 social media accounts
- Develop platform-specific content strategies that align with each account’s objectives and audience
- Design and produce high-quality visual content including graphics, videos, and interactive media
- Write compelling captions, copy, and messaging that reflects brand voice and drives engagement
- Maintain a comprehensive content calendar ensuring consistent posting schedules
- Stay current with trending topics, hashtags, and platform algorithm changes
Community Management & Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
- Foster positive community relationships and handle customer inquiries or concerns
- Engage proactively with followers, industry influencers, and relevant accounts
- Moderate user-generated content and maintain community guidelines
- Identify and engage with potential brand advocates and collaboration opportunities
Growth & Analytics
- Develop and implement strategies to increase followers, reach, and engagement across all accounts
- Analyze social media metrics and performance data to optimize content and strategies
- Prepare regular reports on account performance, growth metrics, and ROI
- A/B test content types, posting times, and engagement strategies
- Identify opportunities for viral content and trending participation
- Monitor competitor activity and industry best practices
Brand Management
- Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all platforms
- Maintain brand guidelines and ensure all content aligns with company values and messaging
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to ensure cohesive campaigns
- Manage crisis communication and reputation management when necessary
Strategic Planning
- Develop comprehensive social media strategies for each account based on business objectives
- Plan and execute social media campaigns for product launches, events, and promotions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, PR, and customer service
- Research and recommend new platforms and emerging social media trends
- Set KPIs and growth targets for each social media account
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
- 2-4 years of proven experience managing multiple social media accounts
- Demonstrated track record of growing social media followings and engagement
- Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.)
- Portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns and content creation
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Basic video editing skills for creating short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Stories)
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools
- Knowledge of social media advertising and paid promotion strategies
- Familiarity with SEO principles and hashtag optimization
- Experience with scheduling and automation tools

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously

- Experience in company growth, multi faced industries
- Certifications in social media marketing or digital marketing
- Experience with influencer partnerships and collaborations
- Knowledge of social media advertising platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, etc.)
- Basic understanding of web bio analytics and conversion tracking
- Experience with employee advocacy programs
- Multilingual capabilities (if applicable to your audience)

Working Conditions
- Contract based position. Renewable based on performance
- Hybrid work arrangement
- May require occasional evening or weekend work for real-time engagement and trending content
- Must be available for urgent community management needs
- Regular collaboration with marketing and creative teams

Compensation
- NGN 180,000 to 220,000 monthly
