Role Overview
We are seeking a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Training Specialist who has a strong passion for training and knowledge transfer. In this role, you will be responsible for the training and development of aspiring professionals through our educational programs.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven organization, influencing both the technical and educational aspects of cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop GRC training programs and materials, including course  outlines,  lesson plans,  presentations,  handouts,  and assessments.Â
- Update  training  content  regularly  to  reflect  the  latest  industry standards, regulations, and best practices.Â
- Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars on GRC topics for diverse audiences.
- Utilize various instructional methods (e.g., lectures, hands-on activities, case studies) to enhance learning and retention.
- Adapt training delivery to meet the needs of different learning styles and experience levels.
- Develop  and  administer  assessments  to  measure  participants’ understanding and application of GRC concepts.Â
- Provide constructive feedback and support to participants to facilitate their learning and professional development.
- Evaluate  the  effectiveness  of  training  programs  through  surveys, feedback,  and  performance  metrics,  and  make  improvements  as needed.Â
- Develop projects and tasks for students to test their knowledge on GRC.
- Stay current with developments in GRC, including new regulations,
frameworks, technologies, and industry trends.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and regulatory compliance standards.
- Prior experience delivering cybersecurity or GRC-related training (formal or informal).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a background in public speaking, webinars, or technical writing.
- Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
Preferred:
- Industry certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, ISO 27001 LA, or similar (Preferred)
- Hands-on experience with GRC tools/platforms (e.g., RSA Archer, ServiceNow GRC, LogicGate).
- Experience in instructional design or adult learning methodology.
- Background in security assessments, audits, or policy development.
